Well my aunt and I made it to the stamp store in Williamsburg yesterday and she had some of the newer House Mouse Stamps and I had to have this one....
And of course I had to ink it up last night with the idea that started floating in my head once I got out of the store. We took the kids with us so yesterday was a late day and I had to finish this card up this afternoon but the coloring and the dimension was all done late last night. I finally took the step of coloring my mouse in with my copics and loved what he look liked afterward. I haven't liked the mice I've colored with my copics the last few times because I couldn't get the shading like I wanted it but....
with this little guy it was perfect. I have also got my hands on Fiskars new finger tip craft knife... I'm hobby blade challenged and when I cut a shape out it usually is missing some important part or I've cut myself....
If you can find one or happen to see one in your craft store grab one... They are great. I used it to cut the flower out of a second stamped image and layered it with dimensionals and it makes this card pop. Along with popping the flower image I grabbed my bottle of crystal effects and gave each rain drop a little bit..
These are the copics that were used on my card.
Supplies:
Stamps:House Mouse Stamp Gentle Rain, Stampin up sentiment So Many Sayings
Ink: Adirondack Espresso, basic black
Cardstock: papertrey spring moss, so saffron, basic black, whisper white
Accessories: copic markers, crystal effects, stampin dimensionals
But as I promised I am offering up some blog candy this week all because I have typed and shared over three hundred post in the last year and a half with all of you... so in honor of my readers I am will give some lucky reader this card...
and these three clear stamp sets a block and the little flower punch and a small assortment of some of my favorite ribbons I have in my stash and all you have to do to win is post a comment on this post by Wednesday, March 19 at 12pm est time. I will then draw a name using random number generator.... Have a great Sunday Afternoon...
