A quick birthday....

Sorry for leaving pictures and running but my parents called this morning and needed help getting ready for a delivery and I ran to help. I've had so much excitment in the last few days. My DH may Chief selectee for the navy this year and we are so thrilled. I just have so much going on I'm not sure what all is going to be next. But back to this cute card. Yesterday was a one of my friends birthday and I made this card for her and thought it turned out just too cute.

This card is alittle bite of basic grey and little of stampin up berry bliss dp that is retiring. I loved this paper. The stamp is just the cutest bella I've ever seen. And it is just perfect for this friend. I colored her with my copics and then did alittle paper piecing on her dress.
The ribbon is from papertrey ink. The Birthday seniment is from SU set Hugs and Wishes. And of course what is a girl with out alittle bling on her dress....

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Hello...

I stamped a few cards out today but will share one today and the other will be here tomorrow...

For today's card I'm thinking cold weather... It has been so hot here lately. I got this new stamp the other day when I went with my aunt to check out a new scrapbook store in Portsmouth called D&A scrapbooks. I found out about this shop at the Williamsburg shoebox swap and just had to check it out... I''m glad I did cause she carries Bellas and I have been dying to get this Bella..

I made a single layered card and colored her in with my copics... This bella is just too cute. And I used up some of my scrap ribbon pieces on this card. For the sentiment I went with one of My Favorite Things stamps. This was such fun and relaxing as well.

She was so much fun to color and I could not resist adding alittle bit of stickles to her fur edges...

Have a great afternoon...

Supplies:
Stamps: Snowbunny a bella, Baby it is cold outside
Ink: adirondack slate
cardstock: Fabriano Medioevalis folded card
Accessories: copic markers, stardust stickles, soft sky stitched ribbon

Quick Birthday....

I was playing around with some sample DP, tonight, that I got a while back and made a couple of cute Birthday cards using my poor neglected Bellas.

Have you noticed I've been in a pink mood lately... Not sure where this is coming from but I'll roll with it for a while. I actually started the card with the layout... my own creation... had no idea what image I was gonna put in that circle. Have you every started a card that way? Usually I know what stamp I'm gonnna use but not tonight. That paisley strip is what started this whole card. I ordered some stamps back a couple months ago and the slipped in strips of various dp with the order for free and I so love this strip design.

After getting the layout designed I then started pulling out various stamps and fitting them within the circle punch out. It came down to the bellas... more balloon abella than the others though.

I stamped her in Adirondack pitch black dye ink and then colored her in with my copics but I also decided to do a little paper piecing with her dress. I think she turned out so cute.... and she is just darling peeking through the window with her balloon.

Here is a closeup of her ...
Supplies:
Stamps: Stamping Bella Balloon-a-Bella, Papertrey Inc Anniversary set
Cardstock: Berry sorbet, sweet blush, stampers select white, pink patterns dp by papertrey inc, paisley strip unknown
Ink: Adirondack pitch black
Accessories: Copic markers, white gel pen, pink grosgrain ribbon, 1 3/8 circle punch, scallop punch

A Little Pink and Brown...

I apologize for the bad pictures... but I so wanted to share my card tonight with everyone. I grabbed one of my Bellas, don't know why I haven't played with them in a while... I also took alook at the sketch challenge for this week on SCS... It can be found here. However for this one I have turned it on its side for my card...

I like this card but wish you could see the colors and sparkles on it.... I will try and get a better picture tomorrow... Back to the card... I grabbed my Pretties box from Stampin Up! and decided to use one of those Hat pins and beads along with some white taffeta ribbon and wide white organdy ribbon.

I colored my bella with my copics and my copic spica glitter pens. But after looking at her flowers I thought it needed more bling. I happened to have some amuse twinkle stickers and they fit her roses so perfectly.

I finally had my card together but no idea what type of sentiment to use. I happened to notice my new Stampin Up! Rubbons and found that perfect sentiment... you make me smile... I hope everyone has that special someone that makes them smile in their life, I know I do and that is where this card is going... Have a great evening and remember that person who makes you smile.

All kinds of catching up...

Today I am playing catch up .... I have tons of mail on the counter and as I was going through it I found several RAKS... they were all beautiful so I am going to share them today and try to get a project or two up tomorrow.

For my first RAK it is a Bellaholicsanonymous group rak from Katie Skiff. She has a blog located here.

I just ordered this bella last month from stamping bella at the end of the month and can't wait to get my hands on her to play.

The next RAK is from Molly Ritterbeck or otherwise known as MollyDR on SCS. I just got this set before it retired and have yet to ink it up but after seeing her cute card I may have to break mine out. Here Gallery can be found here.

I loved all my RAKS I have gotten lately...

Now for the next one... This one is from Renee Kittell. Her note inside made me fell so wonderful and gave me a great big boost... Thanks Renee. Her card is so bright and cheerful.. you can't help but smile.

And last but not least is my RAK from Vicky Sitterly or otherwise known as Dougswife on SCS. She sent her RAK as part of the new PAYITFORWARD.

Her wonderful gallery can be found here. I love the simplicity of this card and I must case it one day.

Thank yous to these ladies for such beautiful acts of Random kindness with these beautiful cards... well off to finish playing catchup and I hope to be able to play more in the next few days. Always need a vacation from the vacation when you get home.

Roses and Cards.....

Well another passion of mine is rose bushes and this week my four bushes have been putting on a beautiful show for me. I took several pictures this week of their beautiful blooms and thought I would share them with my readers....

Don't these roses looks so pretty.... I also have day lilies in full bloom and last night my husband let me get two new trees to go in my yard. I can't wait to put them in the ground... The trees are magnolias and I just love these trees and their blossoms they give off in the spring and summer time. We are hoping to do some yard work this afternoon and getting them in the ground...

Well on to my card design for the day.... I have a swap due in two weeks and this is what I have come up with...

I used Balloonabella from Stamping Bella. Here is a close up of her....

Supplies used stampin up watercolor paper, whisper white cs, regal rose cs, SU designer paper from winter mini. SU spritzer with regal rose marker, rose red marker, cameo coral marker. Stazon black ink pad and watercolor crayons with aquapainter. Crystal effects on balloons. And narrow silk ribbon from micheals to make french knot roses on dress...

This was a fun card to make... I now know what a difference it is to use watercolor paper with the crayons... I need to order more of this too.

FINIALLY....

I had some time to create my bella album to hold my little bella stamps. These little cuties are unmounted rubber stamps that are so fun to create with. But since I now own 9 of these I thought I needed something to store them in. That ATC album made by stampin up makes the perfect storage for them.

what do you think... i used the SAB scrapbooking kit... this was my favorite SAB item this year. I think I ended up hording about 8 of them. I used my one and only cuttlebug alpha to make the name on the book...

The sticker set in this had a stripe of faux ribbon with words on it that so remind me of the bellas....

The stripe of faux ribbon has these words listed along it... inspiration, friend, sweet, enthusiasm, joy, create, love, hope... these are just a few and as far as I am concerned the bellas seem to have a little bit of all this in their designs. Have a stampin goodnight everyone.

Can I Just Say....

I love my ATG gun... I have two swaps to knock out this weekend an I just got done with one with no adhesive issues. No gumming up inside the adhesive cartridge and no having to stop what I am doing and fix the problem.

Guess you all want to see what I made ....

And here is a closeup of one card..

Supplies I used for these is as follows: Real Red cardstock, Basic Black cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, SposaBella stamp, red micheals ribbon to make the roses, watercolor wonder crayons blush blossom and chocolate chip, always artichoke marker, bordering blue marker, star dust stickles and xmas red stickles, warmest regards stamp, and floral background stamp. Can't see the floral background in the picture but i used tone on tone ink real red. Bella is stamped with black stazon ink.

Sposabella you can get from stamping bella... isn't she beautiful. Well I am off to go try and get my second swap done hope you all have a good night...

working on some swaps....

I got one done and think it looks way cool... thought I would share it with you here.

This is one of six. I really enjoyed making this one. I used Tinkerbella from Stamping Bella. Isn't she the cutest. I used Circle of Friendship from Stampin Up for my sentiment. And I got some awesome primas from Cori Bravo when she had shares up for grabs on her blog. These were just asking for a prima flower. I used some doublesided decorative paper from the spring mini. Paisley and polka dot paper to be exact. I used my watercolor crayons and aquapainter to color her in and then add stickles to her to give her some sparkle. I think these turn out well. Happy Stampin everyone... i still have one more swap to work on and these will be on their way...

More Tinkerbella

I got in some of the new spring mini stamps today and a few other things. And i have an idea to combine a stamp with Tinkerbella but have yet to really get the card just right but I did get this one out tonight.

For this card I used fabriano medioevalia 5 inch cards I got from StarLitStudio. I then stamped Tinkerbella from stampingbella kinda off center but I stamped her once on the card and then again on a post-it note. I masked her to stamp the next few images from Stampin Up's new Spring Mini called Doodle This and another set called Doodle That. I used both gamsol magic and stickles to color the image in. I then took some of my Stampin Up ribbon to make a bow and hold a butterfly charm on the card. it really dose sparkle now. For the sentiment I use the Thank you from the hostess Stampin Up set Warmest Regards.

TinkerBella fun....

Well here is my second stamp I got from Stamping Bella. She is called TinkerBella... I think she is just so cute. I just had to use her twice tonight on some Thank You cards. What do you think?

To get a closer look at the cards just click on the pictures.

I used Fabrino Medioevalis cards to make these two cards. I got them from StarLitStudio. I stamped TinkerBella with Black stazon ink. Then I colored her in with prismapencils and gamsol. To add sparkle to her I used icicle stickles. Here is a closer picture of each card.

I used ribbon I had won from GinaK on her blog. It add that touch these cards needed. I used the Thank You sentiment from Stampin Up's hostess set Warmest Regards. I just love that set and I am so addicted to these little Bellas.

Teddybella fun...

I got some bellas the other day... They are so cute. Well tonight I decided to play with Teddybella. I have a cousin who just announced that he was going to be a daddy. So I made this card for him and his wife.

I used my cuttlebug folder baby words with my sizzix machine to make the background on pretty in pink and almost amethyst cardstock. I then framed teddybella with the same color cardstock. I colored the image with prisma pencils and gamsol. I also took some stickles and put it on the rattle and her pocketbook. I think this card turned out so cute.

Something new....

I learned something new today.... Thank you Dawn for sending me the diagram to do french knots. I wanted to learn to do them on some cards I have ideas for... mainly the new Bellas. Don't you think she looks cute....

Now for the card... I used whisper white cardstock, and chocolate chip cardstock. I found 1/8 of an inch ribbon at Micheal's today for only .33... perfect for the roses the bella is holding in her basket. I colored her in with my watercolor wonder crayons. The sentiment is a $1 stamp from Micheal's that I stamped with chocolate chip ink. It is a very simple card but looks so cool.

well...

I am feeling better but have alot to do tonight but thought I would drop at least a little something for all my readers...

I made this little journal using not quite navy cardstock, night of navy cardstock. and bound sheets of very vanilla cardstock inside with silver cording. I cut the not quite navy cardstock down to 11 x 4.5 and scored it at 5 and 6. I cut very vanilla cardstock down to 9x4 1/4 and scored it at 4.5 to make the pages inside. I bound the pages inside with silver cording.

I decorated the cover with an image I had received from the wish rak group on SCS. It is Cosmobella... one of the latest stamps creating all the rage over there made by stamping bella. She is stamped on white cardstock with black stazon ink. I used my watercolor crayons to color her in with an aquapainter. I also took some stickles to give her drink alittle sparkle along with her belt. These bellas are just so addicting. I already have four heading to my house to play with and 6 more on my wish list.

I took my floral background stamp from stampin up and stamped it on the not quite navy cs with not quite navy classic ink.

My plan for this little journal is to get some pictures made from tonights outing and place them inside the book. It is halfway night out for the ladies of my DH ship. Another words a night for us wives to get away from the kids and have alittle fun cause our DHs will be home soon. Hope everyone is having a pleasant Saturday I am off to go finish getting ready for tonights outing.
