Williamsburg and a Birthday card...

Well I forgot to update you all on my wonderful first time Shoebox swap event. It was so much fun and I met a lot of great stampers at this event. First off there was 24 wonderful ladies there and here is a shot of the group of us together....

They all had wonderful card designs made up for us to try and a few products to look at... They also had some wonderful companies in the stamping and papercraft world donate wonderful doorprizes... I won some scorpal tape. But along with that the owner of Impression Obsession located in Williamsburg donated a stamp set to each attending stamper... And that leads into today's card. Yesterday was my Dad's 64th birthday and I was in need of a quick but pretty card while my aunt and I planned a night out for both my parents...

Here is that quick card made with the stamp set...

This set lends itself well for those quick simple one layer cards. Along with copics and prisma pencils. And I love the sentiments with this set. It definitely made me want some cupcakes. And wait til you see the inside of this sweet card...

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Papertrey Ink but the rest is all from this little set from Impression Obsession. If you ever get the chance you have to check out her stamps at her website. Well I have some more work to get done for Thursday ... I've got another cardmaking class with a couple of friends... Have a great day.

Your single layer cards ROCK! I have this stamp, but it has yet to see ink. Now I am so inspired!
