New stamps...

I got my paper trey ink stamps today along with their white cardstock. I had to play alittle longer and see what I could come up with. Well for starters these stamps are clear acrylic stamps and they come on pieces of sturdy acetate sheets but paper trey ink also gives you CD cases to store them in. Well I have started to save the acetate and today I found the reason why.

Supplies: Paper Trey Ink's Borders and Corners square, Flower Garden stamp set from Stampin Up, paper trey ink white cardstock, brass brads, acetate, pearlex powder, and Pearlescent Chalking set

I then looking at the picture I took of this card and the card itself and thought it looked alittle plain so I have since added a small little piece of black and white Gingham ribbon. I really think it turned out beautiful. I used the tutorial from SCS called Pearly window to make my main image.

Been playin again...

I am trying to keep myself occupied since my preorder for new stamps is stuck in Raleigh right now and I will not see it til tomorrow sometime. I played with SCS's Technique challenge TLC119... I did two Father's Day cards.

I still am not that happy with this or the other one here...

I am a little happier with the second one but making these little shirts are so much fun... I used silver stickles glitter glue to make the little buttons on these. My husband made the comment to me that since we always say how hard it is to buy things for my grandfather make sure to put a comment in the card about how we thought he would like a new shirt...

Well as you can see I am awful at making masculine cards so I did make a card today I am alittle proud of ...

I used the retired Stampin Up sets Flower Garden for my images on this card. I stamped the Roses on watercolor paper with black stazon and colored them with my aquapainter and watercolor crayons. I then too some vellum cardstock and stamped the small butterfly image with black stazon. I then turned the butterflies over and ran my dry embossing tool over the outline and colored them in with a so saffron marker. I took glue dots and glue them onto the watercolor paper and raised up their wings a little so they look as if they could fly off the paper. I then took my glue pen and outlined the roses so I could put the glitter along the edge of them. I then mounted it on a small piece of pretty in pink cardstock and a card base of chocolate chip.... have fun hopefully tomorrow I will be back with some of my new stuff....
