Copic playing...

Well I'm back and had fun making this card...

This wreath image is a Lockheart image and is so pretty. I had fun breaking out my copics and coloring it in. I also made sure to use my nesties to cut the image and frame it.

I had to use my sahara sand for my base and then grabbed a scrap of stampin up!'s fall flower dp... I think it is retired not sure. I hope everyone is heady for a great weekend I am too excited about tomorrow but will be sure to let you in on it during tomorrow's catty case post... Have a great friday night...

Thinking about the beach...

Yes today I've got the beach on my mind... and in honor of that I made a beach card.

I've been wanting to play with the sketch challenge and the color challenge from last week and finding time to do it was a job in itself.

This is the sketch design for the challenge... I used circles instead of the squares on my design. Now the color challenge for this card was to use kraft, soft sky, and basic black... I threw in alittle white for my focal image as well. These colors so remind me of the beach. So I had to grab my Lockheart beach chair stamp and use it along with a great sketch and color challenge.

If you are ever stuck on a design please head over to Splitcoaststampers.com they have awesome challenges throughout the week to keep you going. I'm off to see what the kids want to do for the rest of the afternoon... have a great day and go stamp something that makes you happy....

Playin with Inchies....

I decided to play with inchies for a bit today and ended up making use of my colored image on two cards. This became an inchie card and spotlight card.... This was fun to do.

I colored in this image completely and then cut out a 1" square. Then stamped another piece of cardstock with the same image and layered it behind my original colored image so I have a reverse spotlight. I used my copics and spica glitter pen to color my images in. The sentiment is from the retiring set Give Thanks from stampin up... I am so sad to see this set retire...

Now for the second card I used my inchie and created another surprise pop up card. I wanted my base to almost look like an aged piece of fabric. I used the Aida cloth background and serenity stamp to try and achieve this. I then sponged the edges with close to cocoa. I matted my inchie using my square nestie set.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday... I know I will latter today.

Supplies:
Stamps: Give Thanks, Lockheart fall basket stamp, Aida cloth background, serenity stamp
Ink: versamark, close to cocoa, adirondack espresso
Cardstock: stampers select white, basic black, cameo coral, wild wasbi, whisper white
Accessories: copic markers, ribbon, gold spica pen, nesties
