A Calender and a Card...

Today And yesterday I started this little project and little is not really what i would call it...

Shrink plastic and I had fun with this... I added different little charms to some of the months. Here are a few pictures of them and you can click on any picture to enlarge them... The designer papers come from The Angel Company Rustic Chic stack.

February
I took the heart from Stampin Up Year after year and had it shrunk to fit my page....

April Showers
Of Course April showers bring May flowers... Stamp sets shrunk for these two months are And Everything Nice and Summer by the Sea. These were such fun sets to color. And I love them shrunk down... may even have to shrink a few more for a piece of jewelry.

May Flowers

July Summer fun

Harvest time September

Had to play with my apples from Give Thanks...

November Thanksgiving pumpkin

Again Give Thanks gives a great pumpkin for the month of November.

December with Santa and a Tree
I had to shrink a Santa and a tree from Jolliest Time of the Year. Isn't Santa just the cutest.

Now this calender took me alittle while to complete but I just love the out come. Supplies for this project were 7 medium weight chipboard coasters, designer papers. Calender print outs, Shrink plastic, cuttlebug alpha set for my 2008 numbers on the cover, some ribbon, binder rings I found in the office supply section at walmart.

Oh and of course the card I promised...

I did this a few days ago... And mailed it out to a friend.

Supplies for this: Give Thanks, watercolor crayons, aquapainter, watercolor paper, creamy caramel cardstock, creepy crawly dp, really rust cardstock, Trees backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms, twill ribbon tape.

Sorry I haven't post much this week but my life seems to be turning in so many ways lately. I hope everyone has a great afternoon and I hope I can be back soon with another fun project.

I had to try this...

Dawn posted a new tutorial over on her blog and I just had to try it out. You can find her tutorial here. And here is my card...

It took me alittle while to figure out what set I was going to use but I could pass up my girls. Here are pictures of the inside of it.

project supplies: bashful blue cs, silver bling bazzil cs, watercolor paper, SAB designer paper, aquapainter, watercolor crayons, white fun flock, crystal effects, circle punches and stazon black ink.

This was so much fun to make. Oh and by the way I just place my preorder for SU new catty and of course I had to get some of my must have retired stamps too. This coming catty looks like we have some great new stamps and Accessories coming our way in July. Have a great day...

Projects and more ....

Today I had to finish up my gift to my secret sis so I am posting the card set I am sending her and my reveal card... I really hope she likes it. I made a set of four cards with a folder to put them in with the stampin Up set And Everything Nice. I am going to miss this set since it will be retiring at the end of June. It is one of my all time favorites.

For these I colored them in with my watercolor crayons and an aquapainter. Then to add a little something extra I used crystal effects to give the girls shoes the shine of patten leather and the girl with the rain coat a look of shine in her boots and coat. I also added some fuzz to the animals in the cards too. I used whisper white cardstock, marigold morning and vintage violet cardstock. I then also took some of the patterned paper from my pallet of prints special that Stampin Up is offering this month to add some other color to the card. Here are some other pictures of the cards and a few close ups of the effects I added to them.

I also made an explosion card for my reveal note to her...

For this card I used whisper white cardstock, and some more of my pallet of print patterned paper. I used Big blossom stamp and happy everything stamp sets. I stamped big blossom with buckaroo blue on both the outside and the inside. I took a button from fresh favorites I to make my center on the front of the card. I think it was such a cute card.

Have a great day everyone.

My Latest Addiction....

My latest addiction is using color pencils and odorless mineral spirits to color my stamps.... there are tons of tutorials on the net for these but two that have helped me learn this technique are gamsol magic on Splitcoaststampers and this one helped me out alot recently cause I am a more visual learner and it was a great tutorial on GinaK's blog.

I made a Thank You card today for my party lite lady who has worked miracles for me in the last few days... long story short she found a replacement piece for me that I thought I would never get again and for less than what I had originally paid for it.

Well on to the card now... I used a Fabriano Medioevalis card for the cardstock which I had gotten from starlitstudio... these cards are so rich for this technique... I took my stampin up set And Everything Nice and stamped it in Black stazon ink then colored it with prismacolor pencils and gamsol... this is such a beautiful card in person.... have a great night.

The Perfect Frame

Yesterday I went to Walmart and found the Prefect frame for Stampin Up's And Everything Nice set. Between last night and this morning I have created two framed pieces that I really like. These wonderful frames were only $2 and so I grabbed three but after playing with them I may have to go and grab a few more to make some Christmas presents.

My favorite one is the little girls sitting on the rock. I decided to add some of Stampin Up's new stitched ribbon to the frame. I used Creamy Carmel, Brocade blue, and some Black Cardstock to mat the stamped image on. And I just love my Watercolor Wonder Crayons by Stampin Up, I was so on the fence about them last year and took the plunge when the retired the large set. My poor pencils have been on the shelf since July. I may have to breakdown and force myself to use them. I never thought I would love to watercolor until now.
