FIrst Workshop...

Today was my first workshop in my home... I was so worried about it not being that great but I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I planned three Make and Take projects for the workshop. I tried to keep them to the season and also used the Autumn Elegance Kit to help show it off.

The First card we made was a bookmark card using Chocolate chip and Very vanilla cardstock. I used the Stampin Up set Carved and Candlit along with the word set All Year Cheer III to make this into a Halloween card. Stampin Up has a new tool set that several Demos have seemed to call it our Swiss army Knife. It has four different tools, one to uses as a knife, another as a scoring blade, a distressing ring, and last but not least a perforating tool. I used the perforating tool to create an easy tear away bookmark on this card. I also used the Halloween Backgrounds set to add the Bats along the top of the card. I think another favorite tool of mine to use is the Crimper... It was fun to crimp a little of the card.

The second project we did was to make a post it note holder and decorate it with the Autumn Elegance kit. I added a little ribbon to hold it shut... It is always a fun and quick project to create... And a good way to show one of the many uses of the word window punch also.

The third and finial project we made today was another card... We started the night out with everyone getting a chipboard flower and covering it with a color of craft ink. (If you are a demo you will recognize the card from the convention make and takes that we were able to order early this summer). I showed the craft spots off to them for this project. On mine I used pixie pink to color mine in. I think out of all of the In Color Line I love Caribbean Blue... This was a very fun card to make.

All in all tonight was very fun and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

Autumn Elegance Kit...

The Autumn Elegance Kit from Stampin Up and the Country living Mag is so much fun to play with. I signed up for a swap before I even got my kit. The swap was for just card fronts and i think my two designs are great. Well without further ado here they are...

I didn't have a fall set until now and I really like this set of stamps in the kit. I added the stamp set Summer by the Sea to one because it just made me think of going to the beach on a fall day right at the beginning of the season. I used Not quite Navy cardstock, Summer sun and Very Vanilla. Ink that was used was Close to cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Creamy carmel, Pumpkin pie, and Ruby Red. I took an entire sheet of Very Vanilla and stamped the big Oak leaf and small oak leaf on the paper in random order with the fall colors. I used the masking technique to layer the leaves.... got to love those little yellow sticky notes. Little girls are always great blessings.

The second card front I used just the stamps from the autumn Elegance kit with a little watercolor wash of ruby red to add some color to the large leaf. I took a piece of Brushed gold cardstock to frame up the saying and ran the cardstock for the saying over my chocolate chip pad to give it a little something extra... I think this kit has so much to offer.
