This card used smashing reinkers... The challenge for it can be found here.

This morning I decided to try making a few cards before I took the boys to a movie this afternoon. Here is what I came up with....

PreVSN challenge...

I decided this morning I would try out a preVSN challenge before the kids get up to go to school. Wanted to get my creative juices flowin... This is challenge SEP07VSNPre4. It can be found here. I decided to go with a selection of earth elements colors.

The idea was to take fall colors and create a Christmas card. I had fun with it. I also used the tutorial Beate shared with everyone on Wednesday over on SplitCoastStampers. It can be found here.

Here is a close up of my insert card. I even used a dollar Micheal's stamp on it. I tried so hard to use only current Stampin Up supplies but I failed... Oh well I will have to try another card challenge latter.

My first VSN card of the day....

Well here it is my first card of the day... I used my new Butterfly kisses set from Papertrey Ink for my images and a technique called emboss resist. I used clear embossing powder and then took my pale plum classic ink to color the cardstock. the only cardstock used for the whole card was whisper white. I also used some Amuse twinkle dots on my butterfly to give it a little sparkle I got these from Ellen hutson's store. I really like how this card turned out. I will post something tomorrow that I will try to come up with tomorrow.

The Papertrey Ink sets is an acrylic stamp set but All I can say they are really high quality and beautiful. I am having so much fun playing with them. Happy stamping..

VSN update

Well I am still at it today with VSN on Splitcoaststampers.com. It is so much fun. I thought I might slip in and show you my favorite card I have made this weekend so far this weekend...

I used the Woodland Cottage stamp set from the winter mini. I found the saying on the net and played with my printer and fonts to get it to print out on Vellum cardstock. Then stamped the cottage on white cardstock so that the verse would be on top of the cottage. The idea of this challenge was that the words would be the main focus of the card. I used a piece of ribbon to attach the two pieces of cardstock together. I think after seeing the way this turned out I may change a few of my Christmas designs. I am also going to be sending this to my husband since he is overseas and will be there through the holidays.

The saying on the card reads... forever on thanksgiving day the heart will find the way home.
