Play with GinaK stamps...

Back in January (I think), I won the most adorable stamp set from GinaK. Well I got to play with it and this is what I came up with.

The stamp set is called Home Tweet Home. It has the cutest images and I had to play with this one. I actually layered different parts of this image. I cut the fence three times and the bird house once. After coloring it in I thought it was alittle plain so I added in the line of blue... It's actually a sticker from last years SAB scrapbooking set.

I then thought about doing something to the back and this is what I came up with... using more of the stickers from that SAB set.

This card was fun to make and I colored in my image with my copics. If your interested in getting your hands on some copics GinaK has a club starting up... It's how I've been collecting them. All the information about her clubs can be found
here. They are a fun tool to play with and very addicting once you start using them.... Have a great Friday night...

My Valentine....

I started cleaning the workspace up today... not finished you know when you get started and then you start finding things the make you want to stamp.... I ended up making my DH's valentine or maybe sooner... I plan on slipping it in the car one night for him to find in the morning.... he had a ruff day yesterday morning.

I also happened to have two deliveries today one from ATS which was my new scor-it tool... you can find one here. The other was a stamp set I won last week off of Stamped in His Image. It is called Love by Clearly Wordsworth... The main sentiment fit my card for the inside perfectly.

The card was actually the sketch challenge for this week over on SCS. After seeing the challenge I knew I had to play with my GinaK Text Messages set... hope everyone is having a great night.... Maybe tomorrow I will finish straightening my workspace.... or maybe I will stamp again... have a great night.

GinaK's sketch challenge...

Yesterday GinaK unveiled her new stamp sets... during which she had a few contests going on throughout her reveal party one of which was a card sketch. I decided to play along with it. I also got my hands on some new prisma pencils yesterday at Micheals with the 50% off coupon.... and I got the 48 pack with a bonus of 12 verithin pencils for $30... you know I had to color something with them.

I just love this house mouse image... It is actually a wishRak image I got a few months back. I think I need to invest in this stamp before I run out the images.
I decided to take a close up of the mouse and his strawberries. I used the gamsol magic technique with my pencils... you can find several tutorials around the web on this technique.

For my sentiment I used my new papertrey Ink set Year round puns... The birthday sentiment fits this image so well and I do need a few birthday cards this month...

I need some black brads but it seems I have run out so I grabbed my black copic marker and colored two silver ones in... Love my copics... I also took the hearts out of my papertrey ink set my punny valentine and created the row of hearts across the top of the card... well I am off to see what other kind of inspiration i can find around here while I clean... have a great Sunday afternoon...

Stamps: My punny Valentine, year round puns, house mouse image

My last Christmas card design....

Today I played with a mix of GinaK and Hanna Stamps. I think I have found a color combo that I love for Christmas this year. I'm a blue person can't you tell.

I love most shades of blue. But this combo just calls to me every time I use it. I used soft sky, blue bayou, and tempting turquoise. I used stamps from Hanna Stamps set Tis the Season the snowflakes from this set. I like these stamps that have been released so far...

I also used my GinaK penguin stamp for my main image. I think penguins are so fun to use on a Christmas card. I colored him in using my prismacolor pencils and gamsol again. I also used my cuttlebug embossing folder spots and dots. I got most of my embossing folders from All that Scraps. This was a fun card to create and I'm sure some of these designs will be made again next year.

Thank you for visiting all my fun Christmas cards the last week and half. I hope to be back soon with some new creations. However tomorrow my mom will be having some surgery and I don't know how much free time I will have tomorrow but hope to be back by the weekend. Have a great afternoon.

Supplies for this card can be found here. I also used the Sketch Challenge over on SCS today for this card SC153.

Christmas cards round 5

Todays card is a combination of SCS's color challenge found here CC142 and CPS sketch number cps-40 found here. And of course I had to use my GinaK penguin for this one....

I colored the penguin using prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I added liquid applique to his hat to make it puffy and used my clear atyou pen by copic to add some sparkle to his scarf and hat too.

This is such a fun image to color. I also added a few leftover rhinestones to the corners... and don't you just love the grey ribbon it give it such a soft look. Well I off for the night and will be back sometime tomorrow....

A little of this and a little of that....

I'm back today still a little down but not out... I got some new things in the mail and a UPS delivery that I'm going to share with everyone and then the card I decided to make. I placed a small order last week with All That Scraps and of course it came today... Here's a picture of it..

I got some Basic grey 6x6 pad of Figgy paper... doesn't it look yummy... I love all the different images inside it and they are perfect for card making. Then there is the quickie glue pen. It is perfect for adding fun flock to a project or even a thin line of glitter. And last but not least is GinaK's Little penguin stamp. I love penguins and could not pass him up. Did you know that GinaK has opened up a new site and is now selling her stamps in sets... You can find it here.

I also received my free stamp set from SU... They sent it out to all active Demos as of Oct 31 as a Thank you. It is a level three hostess set for the new catty in January. I can't wait to see the new catty.

Now for my card today...

wishes... and reminder...

This is a day of remembrance for those of us in the US. Do you remember where you were and what you were doing on this day in 2001. I was getting ready to go home from work because I was not feeling well... being 8 months along kinda helped... I had just stepped up to the UPC office at my job and the radio station in the store had just changed and was talking about the planes. I was in disbelief and of course knowing I was only a few hours from New York. I called my husband and found that the base had been shut down and he was on his way home and was going to pick up my son from preschool. We were moving into our new home because we had just been stationed in CT. We had no TV and no radio so we had to listen to everything on the car radio. It wasn't until a week latter my parents had sent up a VHS tape that we actually got to see the news. Yes we had seen pictures but video put a whole new perspective on 9/11 for us. I hope everyone takes sometime to reflect on how changed the world has become today.

Today I also broke out my GinaK stamps for a cause set Make a Wish. I saw two challenges on Split Coast Stampers I wanted to try. So I combine them with this stamp set. One challenge was the color challenge for this week and the other was the sketch challenge from last week. This is what I came up with...

Supplies for this card can be found HERE

Also would like to mention GinaK is having a great sale over on her website... HERE And she is giving 10% of all her sales today to the September 11, 2001 Children's fund. I love that she gives so much.

Told you I would be back....

I needed a sympathy card for one of our choir members because her husband passed away suddenly on Sunday. I just got my GinaK stamps for a cause and the well was just jumping at me to be stamped. I thought it would make a beautiful card. What do you think?

Here is a close up of just the well....

This stamp set can be found here on GinaK's stamp for a cause website. For every stamp set she sells she is donating $7.00 of this set to the Make a Wish Foundation. This is a great cause to support. And these stamps stamp really well.

Now on to the supplies bet you were waiting for this info...
soft sky cardstock, Close to cocoa cs, watercolor paper, copic markers, air brush system, GinaK's stamp for a cause set make a wish...

Looks like we may be either getting lots of rain this weekend or getting a hurricane... I hope the rain but just keep people here in your prayers as we start watching the weather really close the next few days.
