An oldie and an inspiration...

I'll start tonight out with an new version of one of my older house mouse cards... I'm trying to nailed down the perfect cards for both my mother-in-law and my mother. So these are a few practice runs today and tomorrow I've got to get my mother-in- law's done... it has to travel to Florida.

For this card I colored the house mouse image in with my copics and added some crystal effects to the rain.. The sentiment is a rub on from the SAB sets Stampin up had a couple of months ago... I so love those rubons.I have been feelin green and yellow today and played with the combo alittle. I used my light table along with one of my stampin brassy templates on the yellow cardstock.

Supplies:
Stamps: House Mouse gentle rain
Ink: Adirondack espresso
Cardstock: green galore, barely bananna, close to cocoa, stampers select white
Accessories: copic markers, spring moss dotted ribbon, sab rubbons, light table, stampin up brassy template fun filled

Now on to the inspirational piece... I was doing my blog hopping today and fell completely head over heels over on Claudia's beautiful card... You can find it here. I love the idea of the hidden message and had to try and make a card similar to hers... I changed my colors and the stamp I used. Well what do you think...

This was so much fun to make. And my newest nesablities dies helped to make the little note card....
Actually the little notecard is held together with some of basic grey's magnetic snaps... they are so nice to have for cards and scrapbooking... And again for the sentiments I grabbed my SAB rubbons ... And colored the main image in with copics. I also used my cuttlebug swiss dots A2 folder to emboss my yellow cardstock. Hope everyone is having a great night... I'm off to see what tomorrow may bring.

Supplies:
Stamps: Magnolia tilda stamp
Ink: Adirondack pitch black
Cardstock: certain celery, so saffron, vellum, retired su patterned paper

I sewed....I can't believe it...

I can't believe I sewed on my first card... And no this is not the only reason I got the sewing machine but it is a perk...

What do think of my little hippos...
I've had these guys for a while from Rubbernecker. And I thought today they would fit this card perfectly. I colored them with copics of course and used my nestablitlies dies to cut them out and frame them. I knew the sentiment was perfect for this card and it is one of the Salebration sets you can earn for free this month and part of next month.

I grabbed my glittered flowers that May had sent me from fiskars and added them along with a cloud9 chipboard sticker and of course I sewed the two pieces of Berry Bliss papers together and onto the cardbase... well I'm off to clean and then maybe break my cricut out to figure it out... Anyone got any pointers on using it.... have a great afternoon.

Supplies:
Stamps: Hippo Hearts, lots of thoughts SAB, pretty petals
Ink: adirondack slate, purely pomegrante
Cardstocks: papertrey stampers select white, very vanilla, purely pomegrante, berry bliss

Happy Sunday....

Yes it is such a happy Sunday for me... My DH got me a cricut and a sewing machine... I closed my show and I am going to figure this sewing on cards by the end of the week.

But now to finish off with my workshop...

The last card we made was this....

This was a very simple card but with many different uses depending on what verse you use out of the curvey verses set. They asked me to show them spotlighting and when coming up with this card I struggled so much....

Hope everyone is having a great sunday and I'll see what I can come up with tomorrow... have a great night.

Simple but fun...

This weeks CPS49 sketch challenge was actually quite challenging considering the simple design... I have a hard time limiting myself but I think I may have done it with today's card.

I had fun trying to create my border to split the card... And I grabbed another one of the stamps out of my SAB set So Many Scallops to help create my flowers alonge with the sentiment in the center of them...

I also played with one of my new tools, my crop-a-dile. I love to be able to set eyelets now with out the loud noise of a hammer. I placed a small amount of glue in the center of the eyelet and added to glitter. Well I'm off today to see how much I can get done for tomorrow.. it is my DH birthday and I hope I can make my card for tomorrow tonight and post it first thing tomorrow cause I'll be running all over the place tomorrow... have a great afternoon.

Supplies:
Stamps: fancy pants simply stated, So Many Scallops
Ink: Always Artichoke, rose red
Cardstock: Old Olive, Fall flowers DP, Whisper white
Accessories: Crop-a-dile, jumbo eyelet pewter, glitter

A christmas card in January......

Yup it's a Christmas card but hey it gets me started for this years...I actually thought of this design last night as I went to sleep... don't you love it when it hits you as you lay your head down...

Well I went with it this morning and I don't think it looks to bad and of course i started this year looking for the perfect sentiments to go inside my cards and you know this one had to have one too. Well I went to Two Peas in a bucket and did a search on snowflakes. I found the perfect poem to go inside this card.

This card was fun but I may add more to it latter... I love this stamp out of SAB set So Many Scallops. I can see using it alot of different ways even maybe using the faux metal with it...

I made the circle in the front of the card using the tab punch it is perfect for making a circle to go around your scallop circles.
I printed out my verse on a piece of shimmery white cardstock.. I stamped my image using blue bayou classic ink and did some faux stitching with a white gel pen around the edge of the card...

Hope you enjoyed today's card... I off to try a sketch out on CPS. I'll be back with that alittle latter have a great afternoon.

Supplies:
Stamps: So Many Scallops
Cardstock: Blue bayou, shimmery white
Ink: blue bayou
Accessories: white gel pen, soft sky stitched ribbon, tab punch

Baby mine....

Nope I'm not expecting nor will I be... but I do sure wish today's set had been around when I had my little girl. I love this SAB set So Many Scallops and it works great with stampin up's scallop circle punch. It is full of some great images, 4 to be exact and today I grabbed the baby one...

Instead of inking it up with my inkpads I used my stampin write markers... regal rose and so saffron. This is another great use for those SU markers besides using them to color you can use them to stamp with (can't do that with the copics).
I stamped the moon twice and then cut the moon out and used a dimensional to pop it up on this card...

Hope you have enjoyed this simple but adorable card for today's post sometimes you don't need a lot to make a cute card...

Supplies:
Stamps: So many scallops
Ink: Stampin write markers regal rose and so saffron
Cardstock: leftover designer paper, regal rose, whisper white
Accessories: white grosgrain ribbon, scalloped circle punch

Stampin Up merci......

Told you today is the start of new stampin up projects with new stamps... UPS showed up this afternoon with a delivery that was supposed to be here tomorrow but who is going to complain... not me. Today's shipment was my preorder of Salebrations sets... I only ordered two sets but all six look like fun to me... And all these sets come die cut too so my two were quick to assemble and made it quick for me to play with... Here is today's card made with SAB set Merci...

It was a quick card and a fun one...

I stamped it with my jet black stazon onto whisper white cardstock. I then took out my Stampin write markers and colored it in...

I outlined my hearts with my bordering blue stampin write marker to give it alittle dimension. I then layered the image with some basic grey cardstock and placed it on a creamy caramel cardstock base... before doing that I stamped my cardbase with my retired French script background stamp... I also had to add a little bit of ribbon to my card..

this was a fun and quick card to make ... I'm off to go play with my other SAB set for tomorrows post... have a great afternoon... Don't forget these SAB sets are free next month with every $50 purchase of SU merchandise...
