Birthday card.....

This card I have made for my Father-in-law. I tried to make it as masculine as I could. I like it for the simple lines it has n it.

Supplies:Senimental journey designer paper from last years Stampin Up catty, All Year cheer sentiment, prima flowers, Papertrey ink borders and corners square set, square punch, papertrey ink white card stock and stickles.

Lately these days if I want a white card for my card base I seem to be grabbing my papertrey ink white cardstock. And for 40 sheets for $6 that isn't a very bad price. I still love my Whisper white but this stuff makes some great card bases. Well I am off for the night tomorrow I have new stuff coming and I can't wait to play.

Happy Anniversary...

Happy 42nd Anniversary to my parents today... I finally got the perfect card for them designed.

Supplies: soft sky cardstock, very vanilla cardstock and blue bayou cardstock. Year after Year stamp set, Baroque Motifs stamp set and All Year cheer III stamp set. Silver encore ink and soft sky ink. silver embossing powder. soft sky grosgrain ribbon and soft sky organdy ribbon.

The card is 3.5x9 so it fits a legal sized envelop which I also stamped the heart from Year after Year stamp set on and embossed it. I dyed both white organdy ribbon and the grosgrain ribbon with my soft sky reinker to make the ribbon match. I was worrying over nothing it seems yesterday when I had a block on what to do for their card. Well off to get ready to go to a cookout at my grandfathers.... have a happy 4th.

Inside the card I added this saying...."Love is not a matter of counting the years,
it's a matter of making the years count." William Smith. I had to hand write it but I wish I could have printed it out with a nice font.... seems someone has used to much printer ink...... I found this quote on Two Peas in a Bucket.

finially...

I have been struggling with my daughter's 3 birthday invite. Actually needed them this week so they will be going out by the end of the week. My daughter loves, did I say loves maybe I need to rephrase it to she is totally obsessed with My Little Pony. I was lucky to find a great TAC demo who has given me a Catty for that company. I found the cutest pony stamp set that reminded me of the my Little Pony's. I used this set for the central image for her invites.

I also had to break out the Doodle That set from stampin up's new spring mini and play with it on this card. The card design is from one of splitcoaststampers Try a new Technique challenge TLC101. Such a beautiful design from Dawn I could not pass it up. I used bashful blue cardstock, and shimmery white cardstock for the card. Stamp sets I used were TAC's pony set, stampin up doodle that, sincere salutations, and all year cheer. I colored the pony with my watercolor crayons and an aquapainter. and then added some stickles to her flowers.

Well I also flipped it over to make it pretty too...

well off to make a few more of these.... Oh forgot the ribbon i used is some I got from Micheals the other week when they had it on sale... thought it matched perfectly with the colors. Have a great day.. and Happy stampin.
