Workshop fun...

I had such great fun today at my workshop. The hostess had 8 guest and it was so much fun meeting all these ladies. My best friend Kelly was there and she was a great help for me. I was so nervous. These ladies Had fun making their own versions of these three Christmas projects.

My small project I think was the big hit. It is a chap stick card. Here is the outside of it...

And here is the inside of it...

Supplies: purely pomegranate cardstock, always artichoke cardstock, natural ivory cardstock, silver embossing powder, versamark inkpad, purely pomegrante inkpad, always artichoke inkpad, silver brad. Stamp sets: snow flurries, baroque motifs, holidays and wishes

The next cards were done showing off the use of crystal effects.

Supplies: I used petals & paisley designer paper on this card along with wild wasbi texture cardstock and so saffron cardstock. Stamp sets for this card were Aida cloth background and give thanks. Ink was so saffron inkpad and stazon jet black. Image was colored using aquapainters and Watercolor wonder crayons.

My last and final card was from my faux metal technique tutorial which can be found here.

I had a wonderful morning with these ladies and hope they enjoyed the morning too... well off to bed I go... have a great night everyone.

Happy Anniversary...

Happy 42nd Anniversary to my parents today... I finally got the perfect card for them designed.

Supplies: soft sky cardstock, very vanilla cardstock and blue bayou cardstock. Year after Year stamp set, Baroque Motifs stamp set and All Year cheer III stamp set. Silver encore ink and soft sky ink. silver embossing powder. soft sky grosgrain ribbon and soft sky organdy ribbon.

The card is 3.5x9 so it fits a legal sized envelop which I also stamped the heart from Year after Year stamp set on and embossed it. I dyed both white organdy ribbon and the grosgrain ribbon with my soft sky reinker to make the ribbon match. I was worrying over nothing it seems yesterday when I had a block on what to do for their card. Well off to get ready to go to a cookout at my grandfathers.... have a happy 4th.

Inside the card I added this saying...."Love is not a matter of counting the years,
it's a matter of making the years count." William Smith. I had to hand write it but I wish I could have printed it out with a nice font.... seems someone has used to much printer ink...... I found this quote on Two Peas in a Bucket.

I also used two of the new incolors purely pomegranate and groovy guava. This card measures 9x3 3/4. It fits a letter size envelope. I have to change it up sometimes. I also broke out my white signo gel pen. This card is made with all Stampin Up supplies. Hope everyone has a great day... I am off to play some more.
