Gettin alittle dirty..

This week is a chance to play with the Dirty Girls over on SCS and to warm up a bit I decided to play with JulieHRR's challenge from Tuesday. It can be found here. Her challenge was to embrace the white of a card which basically is a simple one layered white card and I went with alittle embossing and watercoloring for mine....



I grabbed my poor neglected watercolor crayons and went to work on this magnolia stamp image of tilda.
After watercoloring her, I then took a couple of my stickles out and added them to her top and her wings. I used fruit stickles and star dust on her. I also happened to have some ribbon from a share I had gotten from Texasjodylynn
a while back. It matched her shirt really well. I then noticed that I needed alittle something else and ended up running it through my cuttlebug with one of my long scalloped nesties to dry emboss a frame around her. This was such a fun challenge.

Playing with a coluzzle....

Playing with my coluzzle and CPS sketch 66. Yup this has been twirling around in my head all yesterday and late last night I had to try and see if I could knock it out. This is what I came up with...



The coluzzle makes circle cards so easy.... at least for those that don't have Nestablities circle dies... You can make all kinds of different types of circle cards even a ladybug... Saw this done at regionals last year.... but back to my card.

I used some of my new magnolia images to create the card. I cut some of Stampin Up! designer paper fall flowers for a border. But to create my scallop edge I punched out several 1/2 circles of chocolate chip cardstock and adhered it to my image.

The little girl and the background are two images from magnolia stamps. I colored them in with my copics... love copics but I think I need to try and use some of my other mediums in the next few cards. Hope everyone is having a great afternoon... Scor-pal came...

And you know I had to play with it... I created a lattice card today...

It was a whole lot easier than my scor-it board to use the scor-pal. The scor-pal is a whole lot lighter than I thought it would be and so far I like it and the scors it puts in my projects.


The main image I used is one of my new Magnolia stamps. One of their latest stamps... You can check out their stamps at their blog here. I get my stamps from The Town Scrapper in Canada. I colored my main image with my copics again and cut it using one of my square nestibiliaties dies and my cuttlebug. Well I'm off to see if I can catch up on some other stamping projects and housework...

Two cards in one day.....

Yeah... I feel like I got something done... Using CPS64 as a starting point and then grabbing some designer paper Stampin Up! Fall Flowers I then grabbed my one of my newest Magnolia girls....



This one was fun to color... I tried to find the closest matches to my DP in my copics and I think I got pretty darn close, Don't you....
I love coloring in these magnolia stamps. I've got some new ones on the way... can't wait to get them.

I also took my cuttlebug and Bundle flower dies and rolled out a few flowers for my blooms to the side... Well I hope you are having a great evening I'm off and maybe when I get back tomorrow I'll let you know what I thought of Prince Caspien.....

An oldie and an inspiration...

I'll start tonight out with an new version of one of my older house mouse cards... I'm trying to nailed down the perfect cards for both my mother-in-law and my mother. So these are a few practice runs today and tomorrow I've got to get my mother-in- law's done... it has to travel to Florida.



For this card I colored the house mouse image in with my copics and added some crystal effects to the rain.. The sentiment is a rub on from the SAB sets Stampin up had a couple of months ago... I so love those rubons.I have been feelin green and yellow today and played with the combo alittle. I used my light table along with one of my stampin brassy templates on the yellow cardstock.

Now on to the inspirational piece... I was doing my blog hopping today and fell completely head over heels over on Claudia's beautiful card... You can find it here. I love the idea of the hidden message and had to try and make a card similar to hers... I changed my colors and the stamp I used. Well what do you think...



This was so much fun to make. And my newest nesablities dies helped to make the little note card....
Actually the little notecard is held together with some of basic grey's magnetic snaps... they are so nice to have for cards and scrapbooking... And again for the sentiments I grabbed my SAB rubbons ... And colored the main image in with copics. I also used my cuttlebug swiss dots A2 folder to emboss my yellow cardstock. Mermaid notes..

This is the other card my friends wanted to learn.. They asked to see how to make a shaker card and I let them choose the stamp for the card.

They picked one of my favorite Magnolia Stamp Tilda mermaid. I love these stamps but they are so hard to get here in the states. You can find them here. I get mine from a shop in Canada called The Town Scrapper. You can email them and get on her list to get your hands on these adorable stamps using townscrapper@sympatico.ca. I find their service great.

Now back to my fun card...

I colored her in with my copics and added both some fishes, small sea horses and beads into the shaker part. This card is a gate fold card. for my frame I cut it with my oval nesties set and cuttlebug. I also ran it through a second time to emboss the frame... what an old look it gave the shaker. I decided that my background needed something so I took my shell stamps from My Favorite Things beach set... I stamped it with a tone on tone look. I also took my scissors along the edge to give it an aged look....

Well I'm off to try and get some house work done and then some stamping latter tonight... have a great afternoon.

Note Card set...

A friend of mine saw my post with this card here. She asked me if I could make a set of note cards using the same image making the little girl with dark hair instead... well I got them done today and will be getting these to her very soon.


I made my envelops with Stampin Up!'s retired watercolor minis set. I thought the little butterfly on the envelope added something to the set.

I colored my magnolia stamped images in with my copics and then masked them a second time to use a sponge dauber to add my grass and sky into the image scene. I also took one of the images from the same watercolor minis set to help give my grass a little texture look. I hope she enjoys this set I sure had fun over the last few days cranking these out and now the next few days I have to get to work on my swaps for the month... A little masking and a whole lot of coloring...

Today I took out my magnolia stamps again... I inked up my girl and then decided to add in my horse... he has never been inked and wow he is so much fun to color. Looks like he is gonna try and eat those flowers.

I colored my images in with my copics again... The sentiment is from Stampin Up! retired set So Many sayings. Well I'm off to spend my afternoon cleaning and playing with the kids have a great afternoon...

Magnolia playin...

I decided to play with Kraftin' Kimmie's stamp sketch challenge today. And of course I have been dying to break in my new cuttlebug flower dies too. So this is what I came up with....


It's a Tag card and fits in a standard A2 envelope. I die cut my flowers and the centers were just calling for something then I remembered the Dot Sparkler stickers by Stampendous.... I've had them since Christmas and have yet to open them...


I colored my image in with my copic markers.... and took some of those tiny little sticker to each center of her daisy she is holding....

My color combo came from my designer paper... Basic Grey's Two Scoops 6x6 pad... I love the stripes and the pink and green are just so yummy... My sentiment came from my Papertrey Inc stamp set Out on a Limb... There are some awesome sentiments in this set.

Well I am off for the night I have choir tonight and our Easter Cantata is this Sunday so tonight maybe a little long... have a great night...

Another Magnolia...

This is another Magnolia that I got the other day. She is so cute. This time I also decided to use the CPS card sketch for this week, CPS 53.


I colored this one in using my prisma's and gamsol...
I love the flowers she is hugging. The basic grey Two scoops paper went so well with this image. I also could not resist putting some stickles on her wings. You can find this Tilda and other cute stamps over at Magnolia's Dream cottage.

New Magnolia card...

I got my new Magnolia Stamp in on Monday and got to play with one of them last night after about halfway done with this card my DD decided to run off with my stamp and not remember where she put it... needless to say we found it a few hours latter and I was able to finish this card...

Happy Mail Day...

Today was a happy mail day for me because it was full of packages... I got my swap back and wow are they all beautiful, I got my stamps from RubberNecker stamps where I had won some blog candy from Broni, and I got my first Magnolia Stamps.

Today is going to busy so before letting my day slip to far I went into the office a inked up one of my new stamps and threw together a quick card... I was able to get my magnolia stamps from The Town Scrapper . She shipped them to me really fast and was recommendend by Kraftin Kimmie...



This is my Magnolia stamps that I got... They were fun to color and I hope to get some more down the road to play with...

My daughter dearly loves the Little Mermaid so this is a card for her.. I embossed my stamps on papertrey stampers select white cardstock and then colored my images in with my copics. I sponged soft sky classic ink around the little mermaid and on the cuttlebugged soft sky background... This was a fun card to play with and I'm hoping to be back latter with some other new cards to share... I have to take the oldest to a dental appointment in a couple of hours... have a great Tuesday afternoon...
