something new is coming...

Gonna try something new on my blog and get a little more organised... Starting with Saturday's post Saturdays will be known as Catty Case Saturday and you all can play along too with what ever stamps you may have. I'm gonna take a card idea out of the SU catalogs and make my own card using that design but change it up with some different stamps and cardstock (all being SU products as well on my design)... I hope you will enjoy.

About to cry...

It seems after my post yesterday my laptop decided to die on me and I've got no cables nor card reader to upload tonight's card.... I just finished up a great card and now I can't uploaded due to the fact that the old laptop only used a card reader and it is mia and it also seems my camera cords have gone mia.

Well I can at least point my SU fans to some great spoilers that are going on right now on the net. It is SU convention time and there are a bunch of ladies checking out the new catty that has yet to land on my door step but they were nice enough to share on the net. You can find some great pictures of the stamps and products to come over on Bev convention blog here. And also there is a huge thread all devoted to the SU convention over on SCS.

Found another great blog here.

Have a great evening and I hope to be able to share a card tomorrow. DH will be home and I can whine to him til he fixes it.... I hope.

No card

but how about a cute puppy...........

Iam off to see Bryan Adams tonight with my aunt and then this morning I took Issy to the groomer for the first time and this is what she looked like when I picked her. Before this you could barely see her eyes due to her hair. She is so cute now...

Well I'm off and hope to be back latter tonight with a project cause I'm not sure how much sleep I'll get after going to this concert.

Long Time no Stampin...

But I'm back and had to play with this set from My Favorite Things...

I won this set by entering one of their contests over on SCS and I haven't had a chance to feel like stampin til today. This was a fun card to make.
I colored her in with my copics. I then grabbed some of Stampin Up's new Chunky glitter, that is going away after the 30 of this month, and added it to the flowers. They sparkle so much and are so pretty. I also took my Prints background by stampin up and used the tone on tone technique for the diamond background but to add a little dimension I took my white gel pen and drew a line on one side of each diamond... that really makes it pop out at you. That backgrounder is also retiring as of August 10 so get it while you can.

Now for the inside I took the single flower and stamped it across the bottom and doodled a few lines here and there. The sentiment I ended up taking a trick I learned from hero arts videos on youtube and cut it into two separate sets of words...

This was a really fun card and with all your kind words and cards I have finally been able to get back to stampin...

plus on another note my Husband was nice enough to get us a new little girl to help keep us company and she is so sweet.... I would like to introduce you all to our little Issy....

Our German Shepard is still wondering what this little thing is... and Issy just loves her.

nothing stamp related..

I have a card to share but my mood has suddenly changed and I think I will be taking a slight break from the net for a while...Tonight I had to put my dog down while my kids were asleep and they will not know about it til morning...

My beautiful husky mix took a turn tonight and I had to get my friends over to watch the kids as they slept..... So that I could take her to the vet er... Needless to say she was diagnose with lymphoma... and it looked very aggressive. At first we thought the heat had gotten to her but she had not been out much today and after the xrays were took they didn't have much hope. She is now restng. I can't type too much more... I am not even sure how to break this to my DH as he won't be back for a few more days.. Thanks for listening and I hope to be back to my normal self in a few days....

Sunburn and too wornout to stamp...

Last night I stayed up baking a cake for my church lunch today and that was just too late to be baking but I got it done.. Then after coming home I had to get my yard cut because I just don't like tall grass and the chance of having snakes coming too close to my house. So I cut the front and back yards... needless to say I got sunburn on my arms and chest... yuck.

But let me tell yesterday's movie adventure was so fun... Prince Caspian is a must see but if you have any little kids I'd advise to leave them home if the can't sit still for 2.25hours. The movie is very fast and no stopping on the adventure. It also leads into the next one by letting Lucy and her Brother know that they have a few more visit to Narnia but the older children are done... This is great movie and I would recommend it to those who enjoyed the first one...

Well I off for an early bedtime and hope I'm not hurting too much tomorrow... I want to find sometime to stamp... have a great evening... Oh and guess what... I won a scorpal from the CPS blog yesterday... I am so excited because I've been wanting to try one of these and now I'll get my chance...

Why I don't like storms....

Today we had a severe storm come through our area. Nothing here was damaged but my Husband was at the Naval base and here is what his car looks like now...

We are lucky that this was all that happen to us... My hometown of Suffolk is devastated right now many are with out homes due to the tornado... I've been watching the news and just my mouth is dropping at all the damage that has been done... it took my husband over 2hours to get home from the naval base to our home... well we still aren't out the woods we have more storms and a watch for a little longer..

hope everyone is staying safe..

Edited to add...

photos of the area from VA pilot newspaper

ground photos from the same paper

I went to help out on 4/29 with delivering some meals to the various sites with my Husband and a few of his cowokers... The damage is so unreal...

Back and with a Rubbernecker Challenge....

Yup I'm back and I think I maybe blogging more regular... just depends on how many more times I have to run after a German Shepard.... back on that topic in a few but on with the card.

Today's challenge can be found over on Jeanne's Blog here. Yes I've been feeling a little blue... hopeful the sun in the next few days will cheer me up. I love both the sentiment and the butterfly. These are some of my latest images I got from Rubbernecker. They can be found here and here.

I decided that the butterfly need some dimension so I stamp it twice, colored it twice, embossed it twice and then cut them out and popped one wing up with a dimensional. The butterfly is colored with my copics and the sentiment is cut with my new mega nestablities die... I also embossed the card with my new mega nestablities die. I made my own background with some bubble wrap.

Hope everyone is having a great day... now on to the story of running after a German Shepard. Our family has the sweetest dog the only issue is she likes to jump. She is a 3year old full blooded German Shepard. We have most of our yard fenced in with privacy fence 6ft tall. Needless to say she jumped it today and my neighbor came knocking to let me know she was on the run... We live out in the country too... big open field next to us. She ran to the woods... I took off in no shoes yelling. She did come back but not before running so far. She came back winded. I am beginning to wonder what to do with her... we love her to death but she runs us. Our other dog is no problem stays in the yard no problem...
These are my puppies... not a good pic will have to try tomorrow if it is nice outside... otherwise will get one her in the house... Have a great night.

Life...

Seems to have gotten in the way this past week and I had no stamping time... which isn't good for my sanity... Between spring break running behind five kids and then that glorious green stuff on my car... (yuck). My allergies gave me a big sit back... Well I'm feeling much better today and after I get a little house work done I will have some stamp time... tomorrow I get 5 kids again over night plus a little puppy... wonder how I'll feel them.

Well I am around and will try my best to play some this afternoon with a post latter tonight have a great afternoon...
