I'm Back and full of new ideas....

Have you ever just been in a slump and haven't been able to play with something you love doing? Well that has been me the last few months with my DH getting his promotion and then just feeling I can't come up with anything to stamp. Well This past weekend I went to Stampin Up!'s regional in VA Beach and I feel so ready to play with my stamps again. All the ideas they had were so much fun and of course I took to great ladies with me... can't have all the fun without friends.

Well I got back home and did some blurfing(for those who don't know what blurfing is it is another word for surfing some of my favorite blog sites). Well after doing it alittle bit I got inspired to try and do a challenge for the MFT ( My Favorite Things) Guest designer spot... It was watercoloring and guess what they promoted at SU regionals this weekend.. yup lots of watercoloring... My favorite thing along with my copics. But lets get back to my card...

I had to grab out my twinkling H2Os and my pink pirouette ink pad and have some fun with this card... And I've gotten alittle addicted lately with shape cards and what makes that so fun is my nestablities make making shape cards so easy....

These pictures really don't give this card justice since the twinkling H2Os sparkle so much... With all this sparkle I thought it needed alittle bling too. I love SU felt flurries too and the gems I got a while back at M's on clearance. They were the perfect bling for this card.. I hope you all are having a great Monday and I'm back and ready to stamp... So be ready to comeback for reads...

Another sneak peak....

I decided to play with the new hostess set Serene Spring and really enjoyed trying to make it mostly SU. I couldn't resist using my nestie dies o it though or grab the ribbon that matches one of the newest incolors so perfectly. Take a look and tell me what you think....

I stamped the butterfly twice and cut her out and used half of a dimensional to pop it up on the card. All of it was colored using my watercolor crayons no copics on this one... I used both my scalloped and regular long nesties to cut the cardstock. This is such a beautiful image. And the new incolor pink pirouette is such a soft pink... I think it will be one of my favorites this coming year.

I got all my new incolors today and boy do they look wonderful in person.... can't wait to see the new catty in the next few weeks. Have a wonderful Friday everyone....

Supplies:
Stamps: Serene Spring, holidays and wishes
Ink: stazon jet black, pink pirouette classic ink
Cardstock: sage shadow, pink pirouette, whisper white
Accessories: watercolor crayons, aquapainter, long rectangle scalloped and regular nesties, cuttlebug, ribbon

Working on Christmas cards now....

I'm so far behind with my Christmas cards that I'm going to be cracking them out in the next two weeks and will be posting the designs as I get them done here.... Here is card 1....

I had to play with my cuttlebug folder Snowflakes along with my festive favorites set. The snowmen were just calling out for it. I really wish I could play with my Christmas present while making these but my husband was nice enough to buy me a cuttlebug and then tell me I have to wait til Christmas to play with it. Oh well I still have my sizzix, it's going to mom soon after Christmas.

Here are some closer views of both the inside of the card and the outside....
I had fun making these cards and may crank out more than the four I did tonight. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and of course have been hitting all those sales hot and heavy now. I did a little shopping today but still have more to get done... tomorrow we will be getting our Christmas decorations out of the closet and putting them out. I am so glad that my husband will be home for Christmas this year. I think the kids will have better Christmas having Daddy home.

Well I'm off to go see what else I can get done tonight before heading off to bed... have a great evening and hope to be back tomorrow with another Christmas card design...

Supplies:
Stamps: Festive Favorites
Ink: stazon black, soft sky, wild wasabi
Cardstock: soft sky, blue bayou, whisper white
Accessories: Watercolor crayons, aquapainter, copic marker cool shadow, sentiment from 2peas in a bucket, star dust gelly roll pen...

A card and a gift....

Today I had to make time to stamp... I haven't played in three days and boy could I feel the stress. Well I dragged out my Thomas Kinkade stamps again and a new one too. The Kinkade Stamps can be found here at Cornish Heritage Farms. The new stamps I pulled out were my Hanna Stamps set called I need it... You can find this adorable line of stamps at Hanna Stamps!.

Now for the card I made I used one of the Long notes in Sahara Sand and knew it would fit the cardsketch over at CPS. I colored my TK image with both my twinkling H2Os and my watercolor crayons. I think this card turned out pretty well.

Here is a close up of the TK image I think the twinkling H2Os add just the right sparkle to an image with snow...

Supplies for the card:
Stamps: Stonehearth Hutch Vignette, aida cloth, warmest regards retired SU hostess set
Ink: Black Stazon, Classic black, soft sky
Cardstock: Blue bayou, watercolor paper, soft sky, sahara sand long note
Accessories: Twinkling H2Os, watercolor crayons, soft sky double stitched ribbon

Now Yesterday's challenge over on SCS was Try a new Technique... I thought it was the cutest little boxes. Here is a link to the challenge here. For my box I decided to grab one of my Hanna Stamps and make a box of Chocolates for that "But I need it.." moments ... we all know when those moments seem to pop up ever so often... Isn't this box so cute...
