On Vacation

I'm in Connecticut right now but had made this card up and had it ready to be posted this week...



This card was made for my dad's uncle who has been in the hospital for awhile now due to some medical issues. He is now in rehab and doing much better. My dad wanted a get well card and what better get well card than using a Thomas Kinkade image from Cornish Heritage Farms. These images are so detail and beautiful no matter whether you color them or just do a monochromatic theme.

For this card I went with the monochromatic theme and had fun doing it. I love this lighthouse image. I also paired it with my musical scrapblock stamp from CHF. Those scrapblock stamps create beautiful images and backgrounds.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week... I'm seeing lots of lovely snow here and have heard from my parents that back home we are going to get 4-6 inches.... it figures it would snow there when I go up north to get my snow fix.... Have a great week and I'll try and post a few vacation pictures soon.

I'm Back...

I'm back and wishing everyone a Happy New Year.... I'm planning on being a better blogger this year as well as a bunch of other resolutions I've made. But for today I put together a card while my DH was yelling and screaming watching the Rose Bowl... Not a football fan here but he is.

I have a Thank you to go out latter this week so this little card is something I threw together...



I grabbed one of my New stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms and went to town with it... I just love their Thomas Kinkade line. I also am a big fan of Spellbinders Nestablities dies and grabbed my megablities dies to create the frame... This was a fun card to create and come up with... I've got a box coming next week with new stamps from Stampin Up!... I can't wait to get them and play... Hope you all have a relaxing day and get to spend sometime with your families.

CPS and Cornish Heritage Farms...

I know I said this week would be only SU but I had to play with CPS's sketch design this week....


And here is what I came up with... using of course my cornish Heritage Backgrounder Trees. you can find it and other great backgrounders here. I then grabbed one of my new Thomas Kinkade images, 'The Open Gate Vignette' to use as my main image.





I had fun with this one... Over on CPS they also mentioned a color combo contest for Prism papers so i went through my SU cardstock and came up with the closest colors to those and use them for my card too... you can find all the info for it here.

This was a fun card to come up with... and I hope you enjoy the eye candy it provided... have a great day.

SBS1 yahoo group Challenge 1

My sisters have given out a Challenge and here is my answers for our first yahoo group Challenge.....



We were asked to create a card using the color combo of Brown and Cream. I grab another one of my new stamps, a Thomas Kinkade stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. I just love these stamps and this last release is so awesome. Now back to my card. This is 'A Perfect Summer's Day Vignette' stamp for the main image. I grabbed my Adirondack Espresso ink pad. Of course TK is famous for his lights so I added some color to my card by giving the light to the windows on this card with my gold spica pen.

This image is so pretty. One of these days I will have to try and color it... got to get my courage up for it. I also decided to use my scor-it tool and give the layers alittle embossed look. Well I hope you enjoy today's card, I'm off for some more house work. Have fun stamping...

A card and a gift....

Today I had to make time to stamp... I haven't played in three days and boy could I feel the stress. Well I dragged out my Thomas Kinkade stamps again and a new one too. The Kinkade Stamps can be found here at Cornish Heritage Farms. The new stamps I pulled out were my Hanna Stamps set called I need it... You can find this adorable line of stamps at Hanna Stamps!.

Now for the card I made I used one of the Long notes in Sahara Sand and knew it would fit the cardsketch over at CPS. I colored my TK image with both my twinkling H2Os and my watercolor crayons. I think this card turned out pretty well.



Here is a close up of the TK image I think the twinkling H2Os add just the right sparkle to an image with snow...

For my box I decided to grab one of my Hanna Stamps and make a box of Chocolates for that "But I need it.." moments ... we all know when those moments seem to pop up ever so often... Isn't this box so cute...

Another TK card...

Just got my new Thomas Kinkade stamps and could not resist inking them up. They are so beautiful. Here is my first use of the Stonehearth Hutch Vignette.




Again you can find these beautiful stamps at Cornish Heritage Farms here. For the sentiment I grab another new stamp set that came today called Snowflake Serenade. This beautiful set debut on the 15 of this month from Papertrey Inc. I can't resist a beautiful snowflake nor the beautiful sentiments in this set. You can find all the supplies I used for this card here at my SCS gallery. This week had too many great stamp releases... My wallet or should I say my Christmas money is feeling it...

I thought it Lent itself well for one of my Thomas Kinkade images I had. You can get these at Cornish Heritage Farms. I have some of their new TK stamps coming sometime this week and I am jumping at wanting to play with the new images. Well here is my card for the sketch challenge...



And here is a closeup of the Garden Prayer Vignette... Isn't it beautiful... I colored the image with my Twinkling H2Os watercolor cakes. You can get them also from Cornish Heritage Farms. I love the hint of glimmer these twinkling h2os give a project...

MIA for alittle bit...

Sorry but I have been MIA for a little bit here and now I am back with both some beautiful pictures of a sunset I took two days ago and a card...

Again I used my Thomas Kinkade stamp, The Forest Chapel Vignette, from Cornish Heritage Farms' Thomas Kinkade line. I just love this image now that I have figured a way to color it... This time I used some of my Twinkling H2O watercolor cakes to highlight the windows and some of the other colors. I was happy with my result again. Even made the sunset in with my watercolor cakes.

CHF and Thomas Kinkade 2

I decided this card was going to go along with my pink theme for the month. Again I used one of my Thomas Kinkade stamps from Chornish Heritage Farms that can be found HERE. The stamp I used on my card is called The Garden of Prayer Vignette... I really hope to one day color these like some of my favorite stampers have been able too.

I am dedicating this card to all those who suffer from Cancer in any shape or form. There are many people in my life that have been touched by cancer some way. My dad is one and my grandfather's wife. I can name some others as well. But for the month of October I hope that some of my readers can find a way to donate some time or some money to the cancer society of America. CHF Thomas Kinkade....

Today I decided to play with some of my Cornish Heritage Farms Stamps. I have had these now for a couple of weeks. These are beautiful. They have a whole line of these on their website HERE. I am a big fan of Thomas Kinkade and what better way to get some of his best works of art than in stamps to make my own art with.

I decided to go with a monochromatic look for my first card at least til I find just the right ink to stamp it with so I can color it in. I also used CHF's Tree's Backgrounder. I love their Backgrounders, if you can't find a background just right for your project I am sure they will have it. I know they are also working on another release of some more Thomas Kinkade stamps in the near future... I can't wait to see them. Also remember this post, well I used it to cut my edges around the vignette. The cutter is a dream.... Well I guess it is time for my card. What do you think...
